2 Peter 1:21 – “But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”
B. Doubt its accuracy
Proverbs 30:5 – “Every word of God is pure.”
Psalm 19:7 – “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul.”
C. Deny its application
2. Bend the Scriptures (2-3)
A. No benefit for compliance
B. No boundaries for conduct
C. No basis for commandments
3. Break the Scriptures (4-7)
A. The devilish attack
B. The distorted appetite
C. The disobedient act
